365-119
This here is another one of those people that I met through my daughter. I am so insanely glad that Megan started dancing - not just because I love dance or because I love watching her dance or because I think her dance teacher is amazing or because I love the dance studio, BUT....because of the amazing mom's I get to meet.

365-116
I think the best part of having kids is the number of kids that I get to meet. I remember when this young lady was little and played soccer with Meg. I remember the summer that the two of them were inseparable. I don't think it matters that they aren't as close anymore - I'm glad I got a chance to know her.
You'll have to pardon our appearance. We had been standing in the rain for hours at a track meet.

365-112
I grew up - well for 17 years - as an only child. I was definitely a spoiled only child and a happy one. At almost 18 years old, I gained a herd of siblings. The best thing about them is that they accepted me for the most part with very little question. Over the years, I've managed to be at least relatively close to most of them, but incredibly close to others. This one - this one I could not live without. Sure, we've had our issues (don't all sisters?!) but she has saved me from myself more times than I can count. Love you, Cinnamon!!!

Please pardon my hideousness. The young lady with me is Meg's track coach - and a phenomenal coach, I might add. She's one of those coaches that leaves an impact in a child's life. I'm glad Meg runs track and even more glad that this woman is her coach!
As for my obvious foulness - in my own defense, I was in my "running" attire as I was preparing to begin my C25k practice for the day. Good thing I got the picture first....

Yep, another kid. I happen to love this kid too - if only I could claim all these kids on my taxes - I'd be frickin loaded. Anyhoo, I had a picture with her sister a while ago. I've coached them both and love them both with all of my heart although for different reasons. They may be sisters, but are two totally different girls.

Do you ever meet someone and instantly know you're going to love them forever?!?! No, I'm not talking about your future spouse, I'm talking about a friend. Yeah, it doesn't happen with me either usually. It is more common for me to despise people and eventually learn to love them. That, however, was not the case with the young lady in my picture. I met her a year ago(ish) and I'm pretty sure I decided the minute I met her that I was going to adore her. I was right, of course!
Yeah, I've got some bad ass hair going on and it does rather appear that I'm trying to dig a hole in her arm, but whatever....we were surrounded by craaaaaazy people :D

365-103
Thank goodness for my children's never ending sports and endless lists of friends :) There's always someone around. I told this one she could be crazy...so this is what I got....
If I've learned even one thing over the past 103 days it is that I should never go out in public. Have you noticed a trend here? I always look frazzled and psychotic. Awesome.

Ok, this one took some work - and by work I mean I had to chase her around the gym, body slam her and then duct tape her feet to floor and use the death grip on her arms to keep her from attempting to escape...apparently being the picture of the day was not high on her list of fabulous things to do.
(please pardon the rotten little turd in the back - he thinks he's funny scamming into my pictures)

Yes, there are two other people in this picture - but that's because "someone" (Jason Christopher Kline) couldn't stand the thought of not butting into my picture :) Anyway, the other kid makes me laugh. I coached her sister a hundred years ago. It amuses me that I have now coached them both. I am also highly amused at how much they are alike not only in appearance but also in personality.

So, I've always been short. I was so excited when I quit gymnastics because I actually grew - no really, I did. The damn shame is, even though I grew a ton, I'm still short. The worst part is, I think that kids now must eat Miracle Grow on a daily basis because they are ALL taller than me. WTH?? Case in point....
*sigh* I'll just roll with - "sweet things come in small packages" or something like that....

So, as expected, we've had many long talks in our house over the past 5 months about gymnastics. It was inevitable - and slightly stressful, but it is what it is. The thing that both Megan and I agree on in regard to gymnastics is that at Twistars, we were a part of a big family. That's not the only thing we agree on, but one of the main points. Yes, it got annoying sometimes because EVERYBODY knew your business. I'm not just talking your gym business, I'm talking small town everybody knows what you're doing with who type business. BUT, we miss that.
I had to go in there today because Meg needs grips. I was excited to get a picture with this particular amazing lady....

She is a part of that family I miss. Her daughter was one of my girls many years ago. Pretty sure I tortured the hell out of her kid, but the kid still loves me and I still love her. I had long talks with this mom quite often - not just about her daughter and gymnastics but about life in general. These people will always hold a special place in my heart.

Please pardon the fact that again I look like utter crap. I should have waited until after I took a shower, but hey - I've been known to post hideous pictures of others so I should definitely post hideous ones of myself...I particularly love my 14 chins...
I love this girl. She is amazing. Not only is she a great friend, she is the woman who makes my hair beautiful.
