Who eats this?!?!

Day 225

Right, so there's the dress issue.  Well, technically it's no longer an issue as it fits now.  And by fits I mean it zips - I can't breathe, but it zips.  That means it fits, right?  Anyways, in order to make the damn thing fit, I have done obsessive exercising and have eaten well, this...

What is it??  That, my friends, is cabbage soup.  Smells like dirty asshole, tastes FANTASTIC.  I love it and have been (seriously) living on it.  I shall continue to live on it for a while.  Why?  Well, I still can't breathe in the damn dress for one.  I'm a lard ass anyways for two.  AND it's only 21 calories and fills me up.  Does it get any better than that?!

Sculpture?

Day 224

So, we're wandering through the sculpture park and Phil says, "that's a nice sculpture."

Yes, he was kidding but yes, I was highly amused.

Fat, fat, and more fat

Day 223

So, I've covered the alcohol, now we must move onto the food.  I've been being careful of what I eat lately...and by careful I mean...well, nevermind.  But, I fit into the damn dress so who cares how I did it right?  Anyhoo, Carri and I decided to chuck out of the office for lunch.  Mostly we left because we were annoyed and didn't want to be there but that is beside the point.  We decided to try out this little diner not too far from the office. By diner I mean very cute from the outside, semi-frightening on the inside.  So frightening actually that I decided my safest plan of action was to get something fried as that way they wouldn't have to touch my food too much.

Yep, fried mushrooms that I proceeded to take all the breading off and just eat the mushrooms.  This, though, was seriously the biggest order of fried mushrooms I've ever seen in my life.  It was enough to feed a stinking army.

Yeah - I'm a nerd...and??

Day 222

I'm pretty comfortable with my nerdness.  I'm a book worm.  I like video games.  I'm far more intelligent than I like people to know.  I love arts and crafts (or arts and crabs as my daughter used to call it).  I was most pleased to learn that one of my close friends is also a nerd.  She enjoys many of the same things I do.  I was darn near to ecstatic when she said she likes beading.  So, one day, while hanging at her house, Meg and I made necklaces...

This is the one Meg made.  She did a rather fantastic job if I do say so myself.  I was impressed.  I can't wait to make more!  This brought back so many memories of me in high school sitting in my room for hours making endless necklaces.  As a matter of fact, I think I just got rid of all my beads before we moved - which is rather depressing now that I found someone else that enjoys it.  Eh, I can always start over!  =)

I love Australia

Day 221

Yeah, so I'm pretty sure my count is off, but whatever.  I'm just going to run with it.  Anyways, I went to my first wine tasting with one of my close friends.  It was quite fantastic.  It was one of those food/drink type tastings.  So, we got some yummy little dishes to try along with a wine.  Most of the wine served was dry and red - neither of which am I a big fan of, but that is beside the point.  I drank every last drop of all of the wines.  I'm pretty darned glad Maria was driving cuz I was certainly not able to after all that!

Afterwards, we were wandering around and the very helpful young man showed Maria this lovely Moscato.  It's pink!  AND it's from Australia.  I love Australia - even more now.  This wine is simply FANTASTIC!

Destruction...

Day 220

I know it's summer time and I know that's when all the construction is, but DAMN.  Is it over yet?!?!  Every frickin where I go there's some kind of damn destruction going on.  Getting to work is semi-tolerable as there aren't too many people on the roads.  Going home from work sucks.  I had to change my route which blows because it takes longer, but whatever. This one seriously pissed me off...

My normal 5 minute trip to the dance studio took me like 25 minutes.  AND some little punk kid decided to bump my car which of course resulted in me putting my car in reverse just to scare the shit out of him.  Yes, yes I am the definition of road rage, what's your point?!

Umm what?

Day 219

It's amazing the things you notice while sitting on the toilet.  What?  Yes, I said it.  Whatever.  Everybody poops - there's even a book about it.  But, this is not about pooping....this is about what you see.  No, not in the toilet you disgusting creatures, elsewhere. We've lived in this house for - oh 3(ish) years.  I just noticed this, though...

It's a wall, right?  Well, yeah, but be a little more creative ok.  It kinda looks like a face and it made me laugh.

Yeah, I know.  I have issues.  Shut up.

JUMP!!!!!!!!!!

Day 218

Right, so there are plenty of things that I have said I will never do.  Some of those things are illegal, others are things that I just have no interest in, and then there are other things that well, I'm just too damn scared.  This is one of those things that combines illegal and scared...

That would be my daughter.  She's getting ready to jump off the pier in Holland.  Yes, I let her do it.  As a matter of fact, both Phil and I jumped too.  Gotta tell ya - MAJOR rush.  Loved every minute of it.  I know there are plenty of people who will lecture me about how it's illegal and dangerous.  Oh, and let's not forget the recent drownings over that way due to current.  Guess what?!  We all survived.

Are you really THAT stupid?!

Day 217

We all know I hate people.  This is pretty common knowledge I think.  We all also know that I seriously despise stupid people.  This also is common knowledge.  Here is an example of a stupid person...

You're kidding me, right?  The damn sign CLEARLY states "Compact Cars Only"  AND directly under that it says your stupid ass end can't hang over the effing line MORON.  Can YOU see the line??  Probably not as it is directly behind the back tire - and is covered up by the ass end of this ugly station wagon.  Hey dumb ass!  Last time I checked station wagons aren't compact cars.  Really?  I wish there was a stupid people cliff that I could just push people off.

WTF = wHy ThE fAcE?!?!?!?

Day 216

There's really not much better than free tickets to a concert.  Really - no, I'm serious.  Free tickets are even better when you can share them.  So, Tuesday, I got to go to Grand Rapids with my brother-in-law to meet my friend Jamie and then later we met Dave so we could go see Stone Temple Pilots. All in all the evening was pretty damn fun.  I love all 3 of these people.  Jamie I've known for 30 years - yikes.  Dave I've only known a couple years and Mikey, welllllllll.

Anyway, we all know I don't drink - yeah, ok, I have to stop saying that...let me modify....I don't drink often.  Since I had to drive home Tuesday night, so I didn't drink....much.  Concert was a blast....people watching was fun and then we went to the bar.  Why?!?!  Idk, cuz I'm an idiot obviously.

Now, everyone knows when you're around your friends, you don't leave your phone laying there and walk away....why?

Yep, cuz when you come back from the bathroom you have something that looks like that as your wallpaper....it definitely could have been worse and this sure did make me laugh :)

Exercise Rocks

Day 215

No, really, I love working out.  Stop laughing, I'm serious.  When I actually motivate, I frickin love it!  The hard part is motivating.  Welllll, I got my motivation alright.  Motivation followed a massive meltdown.  Anyways, I decided to go walk the track during Jay's football practice.  This is not the first time I've done it.  It's convenient and it helped that I had Phil's iPod.  Right, so some dumb ass put on holey (HOLEY, Chris, not HOLLY) socks.  The stupid hole happened to be in a bad place and it caused me some grief...

The blister looks pretty good there - now it's all bloody and purple.  Awesome - this girl is dead effin sexy.

Recovery...

Day 214

Yeah, so, said bachelorette party was a lot of fun.  I got home at 3 in the morning.  It's been a LONGGGG time since I've done that.  I almost felt young again.  Well, that is until the morning, when I found this...

That would be my left leg, just above my knee.  And it hurts - a lot.  I have no idea what I did.  I think it may have had something to do with the bathtub, but it  could have been the playing in the fountain I suppose, or the random dancing.  Idk, but it sure as shit hurts.

Partyyyyyyyyyyy

Day 213

So many pictures to choose from....how bout this one...

I love us - that would be me in the back there with my absolute best friend on the entire planet and my sisters and Alley's best friend Stevie.  This was for Alley's bachelorette party - so for the most part, I'm not going to blog about that.  You know, what happens at the party stays at the party.  That way I don't have to tell you about some people taking their bras off in Rum Runners to give them to the pianists.  I also don't have to tell you about the random drunken running through the fountain.  Yeah, I'll keep that to myself.

Bottom line - FANTASTIC evening!!!!!!

*chiggle*

Day 212

Well, since she posted an absolutely hideous picture of me on facebook last night, I believe it's only fair to post a rather "interesting" picture of her on here :)  Facebook may be a pain in the ass, but it sure is good for somethings....like connecting old friends....as in people that I was incredibly close to 30 years ago.  I love this girl with my whole heart and am blessed to have her back in my life....

bwahahahahaha - she kinda looks like a creeper...

oh wait, she kinda is :P

Grounds for Divorce

Day 211

Seriously, I know my husband pretty well.  Well, as well as I can after a bazillion years together - at least it seems that long.  Anyway, I did not realize until today how completely foul and disgusting he can be.  Obviously I know he can smell foul and disgusting.  Afterall, we've shit in the same house for years and gawd knows the smell of his nasty ass shoes could damn near to kill a person.

Today, he and the kids came to work (because I had something they needed and because he wanted my car).  Well, I've posted pictures on here of the "snacks" that were brought in...you know, the larva and the crickets.  Well...

That would be Phillip holding a foul and disgusting cheddar/bacon flavored cricket seconds before he popped that bad boy in his mouth.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?  Yeah, every single one of us in the office puked a little bit (ok a lot) in our mouths.  The worst part, though???  HE FRICKIN DID IT AGAIN!!!!!  Oh yes, you read that right.  After snacking on the first crunchy little BUGger, he opted to have another.

I'm sure that is grounds for divorce....or at least a lifetime of no kissing.  *pukes*

Down time

Day 210

Down time??  Wtf is that?  Right, something I have very little of.  It's annoying sometimes.  I'm a die hard book worm.  I love to read and can sit down and read a couple books a day if given the opportunity.  Unfortunately, because of school I have very little time to actually read a book.  Well, that's not true, I have plenty of time to read crap for school, just no time to read for pleasure.

Well, the other day we had to stop by the library so Jay could get his prize for the summer reading club thingy.  Of course, while we were there, I had to get a book.  I cannot walk into a library and not check out a book...it's just not possible. I had to hold myself back...I only checked out two which is pretty much unheard of for me.  As a kid, I would check out 6 or 8 at a time and then be back a week later for a new batch.

Anyhoo...this is what I got...

I have no intention of doing a book review right now, but I will tell you I finished the book in just over 24 hours.  LOVED it.  Now I'm onto the next book...oh how I love to read.

And again with the food...

Day 209

Just shut up.  I have admitted multiple times that I (obviously) enjoy food.  This here is one of my favorite snacks, although I prefer them nice fresh and warm...

I absolutely LOVE walking through the mall and smelling these.  Seriously, the smell of roasted almonds makes me drool.  Yes, they would be far healthier if they weren't covered in cinnamon and sugar but whatever.  I love 'em!
